Transcriber's Notes:
* The use of an * indicates an omission or error made by the original
recorder.
* The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read, due to
quality of original document.
* The Captain's name appears to be signed as Whistle but is clearly written
Whistler in other places.
* The sworn statement on this list was at the bottom of the first page and
the recapitulation was written at the bottom of the first page
* #1 probably is missionary
* #22 is clearly marked Female
* #25 there is a dot after the K and a letter that could be an i with a
line that goes straight up afterwards and then a horizontal line
detached. This name could be Kih according to a Chinese interpretor I
asked. Same lettering appeared in #32
* #32 this name may be Yuk according to a Chinese interpretor but was
written as in #25
* #33 and #36 both appear to have astericks in the occupation column which
may mean they are related?
* #34 this name may be Kwong according to Chinese interpretor but was
written as pronounced
* #38 this name may be Wong or Hong
* #53 and 54 both have astericks in the occupation column which may mean
their related?
