SS Tacoma


Hong Kong and Yokohama, Japan to Tacoma, Washington
November 29, 1895

I, R Crawford, Master of the above-named Steamer from the Port of Hong Kong, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the above List contains the names and descriptions of all the Passengers who were on board the said Steamer at the time of or since her last departure from the said Port of Yokohama, or that has been taken on board the said vessel at any foreign port or place, and that none have died on the voyage. List or Manifest of all the Passengers taken on board the Tacoma whereof R Crawford is Master, from Yokohama; burden 1662 tons.

Transcriber's Notes:     
 *Passenger #2 Chinese names tend to follow pattern of writing family 
  name before given name, thus Soy is possibly the surname of this 
  passenger. United States is missing letter 's'.

  List does not specify which passenger boarded in Hong Kong nor which 
  passenger boarded in Yokohama. 

  List does not specify which passenger had steerage or saloon 
  accommodation.
