Liverpool, England* to Boston, Massachusetts
8 January 1827

DISTRICT OF BOSTON AND CHARLESTOWN - PORT OF BOSTON
I, Henry Leslie do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear, that the within REPORT and LIST, subscribed with my name and now delivered by me to the Collector of the district of BOSTON AND CHARLESTOWN, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, the names, age, sex and occupation of all the passengers, together with the name of the country to which they severally belong, and that of which they intend to become inhabitants, which were on board the Ship Luco whereof I am at present master, at the time of her sailing from the port of Liverpool or which have at any time since been taken on board the said vessel. And I do likewise swear, that all matters whatsoever in said report and list expressed, are, to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true. SO HELP ME GOD. (Signed) Henry Leslie, MASTER. Transcriber's Notes: 
* Probably sailed from Liverpool, England, though country not stated.
  #1 age 30 or 50.
  #2 age 25 or 35.
  #3 about 3 letters, none extend above the mid-point of the line.
  #7 age 5 or 8.
  #9-12 letters in occupation could be rp or ef or ep.
 #11 about 6 letters, could be 2 i's in the first 5, others do not 
     extend above mid-point, except for last letter which extends both 
     above mid-point, and below the line.  
 #12 1st letter in question could be s or t, then e or o, then r or n.
 #13 1st letter could be r, then er or u or ee.  Age 42 or 22.
 #14 age 22 or 32; occupation letter does not seem to be i.
