Johann Friedrich von der Wroge is a brother of my great-great-grandfather.
He was born on July 9th, 1819, in the village of Oerbke in the Kingdom of Hanover
(today, Oerbke is part of Bad Fallingbostel in Lower Saxony, Germany). He was the
9th of 10 children. He left Oerbke in 1845 "for America" - that is all that was
known until I found the transcribed manifest of the Bark Lucia Field . As per the
manifest, the bark sailed from about September 1, 1846, until about October 30, 1846,
from Bremen to New Orleans. Unfortunately, we have no information about the whereabouts
of Johann Friedrich or any descendants. If you have information about Johann Friedrich
von der Wroge or his descendants, please feel free to contact
