Transcriber's notes:
The use of an * indicates an omission or error made by the original recorder.
The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read, due to quality
of original document.
* At the very top of the manifest it says Compagnie Generale Transatlantique.
Generale has an acute accent above the first and second e.
It also says The Passenger Act 1882 just before district and port.
??? There is a tear or smudge on the manifest, but this word is
probably District .
* SS was written S/S both times on the manifest.
* Le Havre was written with a line above the a in both instances.
??? There is a tear or smudge on the manifest, but the missing word is
probably the.
? There is a tear or smudge on the manifest, but the missing letter

? There is a tear or smudge on the manifest, but the missing letter
is probably a -- alien.
? Part of a typed letter is missing in this word, but it is probably
t -- protracted.
* The Deputy Collector also wrote his initials, TJD, in the left
column near his signature.
* There is also a French version of the column headings, with no
accents that are visible, below the English headings: Numeros, Noms,
Age (Ans, Mois), Sex, Profession, Pays auxquels ils appartiennent,
Destination ou localite auxquelles ils ont l'intention de se rendre,
Emplacement du Compartiment ou espace occupe, Nombre de colis Bagages,
De passage, ou en transit, ou Projetant un sefour prolonge, Date et cause
de la mort.
* The calling of all passengers was listed as None, so that column has been
eliminated.
* There were not any passengers who died on the voyage, so that column
has been eliminated.
