Correspondence 05/07/02 passenger #90 Melcher
On Ship Jas.N. Draper Oct 23,1847 Passenger 90 Catherina Melcher--went 
from Texas to Buffalo where She married Martin Schmidt in 1855.--2 
children in Buffalo and then 2 more children in Toledo Ohio.  She 
was an owner of a saloon in Toledo.  Martin died due to injuries in 
the Civil War.  She was my gggrandmother. Sandy Kisch

Correspondence 11/30/02 passenger #14 Klump
August Klump arrived in Galveston, Texas aboard the ship Jas. N. Draper 
on 23 Oct 1847.  He settle in New Ulm, Texas.  In 1850 he married Anna 
Fahrencamp.  He was Justice of the Peace in New Ulm for a number of years.  
He and Anna had 12 children, 9 of which lived into adulthood and had 
children of their own.  They were: William Klump, Emilie Blaschke, 
Otto Klump, Bertha Krause, Egenhardt Klump, Albert Klump, Ernst Klump 
(my great-grandfather), Louis Klump, and Henriette Heins.
