Bark Golden Era
I Joseph Thorndike of the Bark Golden Era, lately arrived from Bordeaux at New Orleans do hereby depose and say, that the above Manifest is a correct and true report of the name of said vessel, her men; officers, and consignees; of the place where her voyage began, and of the name, nation or birth-place, race or colour, age, occupation, place of first embarkation, and place and time of last debarkation in the State of Louisiana, of every person or passenger, not of the crew proper or a citizen of the United States, who has arrived on or landed from said vessel within the said State. I also further swear that none of said passengers have died on the voyage.

Manifest of passengers arrived on the 15th day of May 1854, at the Port of New Orleans State of Louisiana, on board of Bark "Golden Era" of Thomaston from Bordeaux of which Jos Thorndike was Master for said voyage; said vessel being owned by Wm C Thorndike of Thomaston and consigned to Chas. A Farwell of New Orleans

(The columns for money paid, by what officer received, and remarks were empty, so they were omitted. All passengers were stated as "White" so that column was eliminated.)
