LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. China, sailing from Hong Kong May 30th, 1893 and Yokohama June 9, 1893 arriving at Port of San Francisco, June 26, 1893.

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were not included in the table:
Able to Read & Write=yes,yes(exception: ?hoi is unable to read.)
Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco
Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
Whether a Polygamist=no
Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
Whether having any deformities=no
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.
The numbers in the Whether in Possession of Money column are written with the final two zeros elevated above the line with a line drawn under them, as one would do to indicate cents.

1 The missing letter in the surname could be "I." He is recorded as unable to read, but can write. He has been to San Francisco 1890.
3 has been 14 years in Oakland, Cal.
4 This entry has a line drawn through it and Trans to 1st Cabin written in the "Whether going to join Relative or Friend" column.
7 has been to New York 1882.
9 has been to San Francisco.
10 is going to join Bro Shotaro Kajita, Sacramento.
14 The missing letter in the first name could be "d", "s", or "t." This passenger's occupation is listed personal maid to Mrs. Harmony.
15 is going to join son Ichibei Najima, Sacramento, Cal.
20 is going to join son Soichi Ohara, San Francisco. The final vowels in the two surnames are clearly different.
21 has been to Santa Rosa, Cal 1892.
22 occupation is listed as "with her husband."
21, 22 These passengers are listed as en route to Mexico. She is going to join uncle Ukisabino Suite, 1 Adelaide Place, San Francisco.
