Correspondence 9/22/00 passengers #19-23 Spencer
Passenger #22 Rose Spencer, who was born in Manchester, England
settled in Philadelphia, PA. She married Robert Lindsay, who was from
Montgomery County, PA, (his parents were from Scotland) and had 2 sons.
Her son Robert died at the age of 21. Her other son, James, (sometimes
referred to as Clarence) was my grandfather.
#19 Charlotte Spencer was the mother of Rose, so she would have been
my great great grandmother. She was born in Brighton, England.
Charlotte's maiden name was Dunstan, however prior to Charlotte's birth,
the family spelled it Dunstone. I've been unable to locate the ship's
passenger list for her husband James as yet. James and Charlotte spent
their lives in Philadelphia and later died there.
If you have any knowledge of these people, please don't hesitate to
contact me. Lorraine Lindsay
