Transcriber's Notes:

The columns "The country to which they severally belong"
and "The country in which they intend to become inhabitants" had
"Germany" and "United States", respectively, written repeatedly
throughout the entire length of the list.
In the column "Died on the voyage" the captain indicated which part
of the ship the passengers were in.
* Passengers 205 - 224: nothing is noted in this column
* Passengers 225 - 316: The captain states that these passengers
were "Between Deck".

The captain used ditto marks and "do" instead of repeating surnames.
The transcriber typed all the surnames.
Whenever several children are listed the captain put a bracket around
all of them and wrote: "his children" whereas the transcriber chose to
write out "his children" behind each one of the children's names
knowing that it should be "his child" rather than "his children".

212 There is an Umlaut over the "a".
217 There is an Umlaut over the "o".
226 - 229 The third letter of the surname could be a "v" or maybe an "o",
the fourth letter may be an "l".
232, 256, 259 It appears as if the first name in all three cases is
"Dorothea", the captain, however, chose to abbreviate the name and
use a small superscript "a" at the end of the name.
240 - 244 There is an Umlaut over the "o".
263 There is a line above the "s".
264 - 267 There is an Umlaut over the "u".
273 There is an Umlaut over the "o".
278 There is only one "n" in Johana.
291 There is a line above the "n" in Johana, indicating that it
is really spelled with two "n".
