Transcriber's Notes:
* indicates an error on the part of the original record or is used to call your
attention to additional information in the Transcriber or Passenger Notes.
? indicates letters or words that cannot be read due to the quality of the
original document, and is clarified in the Transcriber or Passenger Notes.
* Country which they intend to become inhabitants was all United States, so the
column was eliminated.
* Passengers who have died on voyage, none were noted on these pages so the
column was eliminated.
* Part of the vessel occupied was all steerage, so the column was eliminated.
* The recorder abbreviated first names in several places:
Cath for Catherine
Chr possibly Christian or Charles
Fr possibly for Friedrich or Franz
Friedr for Friedrich
Gg possibly for George or Gregor
Herm possibly Herman
Heinr for Heinrich
Joh for Johanes or Johannes
Wilh for Wilhelm
1150-1153 Surname has an umlaut over the 'o'.
1154 Entire line is crossed out.
1161 First name has a superscripted mark after the 'l', unreadable but it
could possibly be an 'a', 'e', or 's'.
1161-1162 Surname is possibly Bollman.
1166 Occupation of kanider is unknown, although I did several occupational
web searches, it could be Kaniter, Kainter, or Kainder.
1177-1182 Surname has small, tight letters. Surname is possibly Scow, Scorn,
Scoen, Shoen, Shorn, Show, Stoen, Stow, Storn, or Stoen.
1183 Surname has an umlaut over the 'o'.
1196 Surname has o Umlaut to read Schröder.
1200 Surname is followed with a line out from the 'o' which was not seen
in other names, so perhaps there is another letter meant, possibly
Makon.
1208-1210 Surname has several bumpy midline letters that are not clear,
possibly Hammer or Hamner.
1223 Surname letters are not well-formed. Possibly Braueth, Brauett,
Braneth, or Branett.
1237 Surname unclear. Possibly Irembs or Iremes.
1238 Writing seems to be clear, so I am not sure if the name and sex are
by original error, or if occupation is wrong.
1277 First name is clearly Rachel, so sex and occupation which are noted
by ditto marks, are probably in error.
1280 Listed as workman by ditto marks, from age and sex I assume this
should have read 'children'.
1311 Occupation of Breider. This is clearly written, but the only
occupation I could find in research that would fit is "Braider", one
who braids leather.
