DISTRICT OF PHILADELPHIA - PORT OF PHILADELPHIA
I, John Ball do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the Report or Manifest subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the District of Philadelphia, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the passengers which were on board the Ship Arab at the time of her sailing from the Port of Liverpool or which have been taken on board at any time since; that I am at present and have been during the voyage master of the said vessel. And I do likewise swear that all matters whatsoever in the said Report or Manifest, are to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true. SO HELP ME GOD Sworn Before me, this 12th day of Nov 1832 * Collector.
REPORT OR MANIFEST of all the Passengers taken on board the Ship Arab whereof John Ball is Master, from Liverpool burthen 335 Tons and owned by Thomas E Walker & Co of Philad and bound for Philadelphia.
Columns represent: Names, Age, Sex, Occupation, To what country belonging, Country of which it is their intention to become inhabitants, Number and Names of Passengers who have died on the voyage*.

* The use of an * indicates an omission or error made by the original recorder.
* The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read, due to quality
  of original document.
* There was no signature by the Collector.
* The column, "Number and Names of Passengers who have died on the
  voyage" has no entries and has been omitted.
* The list in not numbered; numbers have been inserted by the transcriber.
* 3-6 England has been abbreviated Eng.
? 7-12 Surname could be Rusbutch.
* 9 Manua Maker has been abbreviated as shown.
* 19 Gender has been scribbled across, but appears to be Male.
* 20 Mantau Maker has been abbreviated as shown.
