Cropper Comander for Barbadoes one Rebel or Prisoner nch at the same rate amon. to ... 2" Reference: Treasury Solicitor: Jacobite Rebellion (1745) Prosecution Papers TS 20/47/3 p 8 The “Africa Gally” was one of ten ships used to transport to the Americas 639 Rebel Prisoners from among 1,301 Jacobite Rebels kept in four prisons in Lancashire, following their surrender at Preston, Lancashire, England in 1715. The names of the Rebels transported can be found among the names of the Rebels listed in the four prisons, together with details about the Rebels kept in the prisoner records.
