Irvine was getting under way for Australia and the passengers whom she was to carry out were taking leave of their friends. The Active has been newly fitted up, put in excellent order, and provisioned for the voyage by her owner, Mr. D. R. Gabriel, who also goes out in her to revisit the land of gold.
