A Passenger List Is A Real Keepsake
A copy of the passenger list for the ship on which your ancestor(s) arrived is a treasure. You may have a few questions concerning the time and costs involved. We hope to have answered them all here. How Much Time Does It Take?
If you have the name of the ship, the date and port of arrival it can be done in about 10-14 days - if the ship arrived before 1897. Between all the members of our research team, we have good access to ships arriving the US (in main ports of entry). If the ship arrived at a main port of entry after 1897, the film on which the passenger list can be found may need to be ordered. If the film needs to be ordered, it normally takes about 2 weeks for it to arrive from Washington. In some instances, it has taken longer. Once the film arrives, it takes about 7-10 days for us to copy the passenger list and mail it to you.
How Much Does It Cost?
We have pledged to keep our data online and freely available but we cannot do research for free. We know the cost of research can be very expensive, and we strive to keep your costs as low as we possibly can. Your cost for a copy of the list is $10.00 which is payable in advance. The cost of .30 per copied page and shipping/handling will be invoiced to you when the list is mailed.I Want To Order A Passenger List.
