Examined and passed above, assisted by Mr. Madje, Hindoo Interp. A. de la Torre, Jr: Insp. Transcriber's Notes: The number 10387 was written at the top of each of the five pages of the manifest. The manifest has two handwriting styles: It appears that the list was written by
the original recorder, then any changes, additions, immigration, and tax
references were written by the Inspector. The manifest's passenger numbers have been adjusted by the transcriber to read
consecutively. The original recorder used both upper and lower case abbreviations when recording
the sex of the passengers. * The Witness Statement was not filled out by the Immigration Officer. * Transcription of the word Posession is as printed on the list, and is not an
error on the part of the transcriber. The dates transcribed in this column were
abbreviated on the original manifest. * The date and time listed in the Inspector's statement were abbreviated by the
Inspector as: Feb. 24/10 12.20 P.M. 1 * The information on this line was crossed out. 2, 3, 4 * Canadian was crossed out and replaced with English. Written in the Final Destination column is: no ticket. 5 * Before the No. on List column is: TAX RECEIPT- 3348-HONO-FORM R-20-A3920 HALIFAX. England and British were crossed out and replaced with Canada and English. Written in the Final Destination column is: No T. 6 * The word Miss or Mrs is written in parentheses after the given name. Following the age is the letter T. Written in the Final Destination column is: Has thru ticket. 7 * Canadian was crossed out and replaced with Irish. Written in the Final Destination column is: no ticket. 8 * Canadian was crossed out and replaced by Irish. Written in the Final Destination column is: (no ticket). 9 * Before the No. on List column is: TAX RECEIPT 3171- HONO. Before and after the age is the letter T. The word British was crossed out and English written above. The word Tax is written after Australia. Written in the Final Destination column is: (no through ticket). 10 * Before the No. on List column is: 3172 HONO-. Before and after the age is the letter T. The word TAX is written after Australia. Written in the Final Destination column is: (no ticket). 11 * After the age is the letter T. Canadian was crossed out and replaced with English. Written in the Final Destination column is: no ticket. 12, 13 * Before the No. on List column is a curly brace which links these two passengers
to the following: Great Norther Ticket G.N.3.R.T. 478 VANCOVAR TO LOS ANGELES & RETURN.
The words Norther and VANCOVAR are transcribed as written, and are not errors on the
part of the transcriber. 12 * After the age is the letter T. Canadian was crossed out and replaced with English. San Francisc. was transcribed as written, and is not an error on the part of the
transcriber. Written in the Final Destination column is: Has thr. ticket. 13 * After the age is the letter T. Canadian was crossed out and replaced with English. San Francisc. was transcribed as written, and is not an error on the part of the
transcriber. Written in the Final Destination column is: Has thru ticket. There is no Final Destination listed. 14 * Written in the Final Destination column is: no ticket. 15 * It appears that a name was written on this line, but was either erased or is so faint
that it is unreadable. 16 - 36 and 46-55 * Spaniard was crossed out and Spanish written in its place. 16 * Juan was crossed out and Julian written in its place. 19, 28, 31, 35, 40, 41, 45, 47, 49, 55 * The ages for these passengers were written by the
recorder with a number followed by another number which was raised and underlined. The
recorder probably used this as an abbreviation for the age in years and months. 19, 28, 31, 32, 38, 39, 41, 45, 47, 48, 55, 59 * Written across the Time of entering Insular

probably 1908. * There is an ink smudge for passengers 67 and 75, but appear to also be 1908. 78 * No Given Name was written. 86 * The following statement was written above the Given Name: 631- 774262- 11/10/31 Bureau
