SS Wyoming


From Liverpool to New York, March 18, 1879

DISTRICT OF NEW YORK – PORT OF NEW YORK
I, Henry Gadd Master of the SS Wyoming do solemnly, sincerely and truly [blank] that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said S.S. Wyoming at Liverpool from which port said has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the ages, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

* W  F Ashworth is written with a high "m" and line under it    
* Inft meaning infant.    
* Dd Edmund the small "d" is written high with a long vowel sound under    
it    
* Ed d Morgan the small "d" is written high with a long vowel sound    
under it    
* Mary A?guin could be Assguin  as the master used the old form of "f"    
for two ss's  Spin meaning spinstress/spinster    
* The  name John W Quigley could also be Quipley    
* Wm Dl Mahony The "m" behind W is written high with long vowel sign    
under it The "l" behind the "D" is written high with the long vowel    
sound under it    
*Ml Shechan the "l" is lower case and has the long vowel sound under it.    
    
* Found this intresting she is from England and he is from United States    
so he has probably went to England to get his bride    
* Revd B I MULLITQN the "d" is written higher with the long vowel sound    
under it.  I take this to mean Reverand    
* W Alfd Holt There is a long vowel line behind the "w" The "d" has the    
long vowel line under it * W Alf d Holt could also be Holtz    
* Fred R  Barker "R" is higher and  is capital and has long vowel sound    
under it    
* Mrs ElijE Lever the second "E" is written higher but connected to the    
name
