I, L.F. Timmerman, Master of the Steamship, City of Washington, do solomnly, sincerely and truely swearthat the following List of Manifest subscribed by me and now delivered by me to the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said vessel at Havana, Cuba from which Port said Vessel has now arrived; and that on said list is truely designated by the age, the sex, and the occupation of each said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is inteded by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truely sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who have died. * These columns have been eliminated - the age in months was not recorded 
  and there were  no deaths on this voyage.

? Unknown letters

# this letter could be either an 'n' or a 'u".  They are often very 
  similar.

** This name is probably Arthur - the writer had a habit of crossing his 
   't's' after the  letter and perhaps crossed the 'h' instead.

*** This word is crossed out.

All Jose names have an ` on the 'e'
