Transcriber's Notes:
The port of departure is Goteborg (Gothenburg) and ship sailed from there to
  Hull, England.
Name column specifies "work", as well as name, but occupation was not listed
for any entry. The "l." in place of residence is an abbreviation for "landskap"(umlaut over 1st "a" & ring over second "a", and would be interpreted as "province".
#667 & 679 - Sjoblom - umlaut over first "o".
#668 - Lofqvist - umlaut over "o".
#673 - Place of Residence has ? as could not be read. Looks like: two
       letters, f-v-i-r-o, ???, rest indistinguishable.
#674-677 Place of residence has been almost completely erased and is
       indecipherable.
#679 & 680 - Ditto indicates place of residence as Finland, but may be
       in error.
#686 - Oberg - umlaut over "O". Skofde - umlaut over "o".
#689 - First name is obliterated. Begins with "H", next letter could be
"a" or "o" with ring over it; rest unable to read. Could be Hokan
       with middle initial?
Hassjo - umlaut over "a".
Timra - ring over "a".
Alno - umlaut over "o".
Nabbled - umlaut over "a", probably Nabble.
lan - umlaut over "a".
The i in column of place of residence is an abbreviation for ian which
  approximates our county.

We wish to thank Elida Wong O'Brien for contributing this partial passenger
list. Her grandmother, Ingrid E. Holmberg was on board this ship with her
parents, Olaf and Anna Holmberg and her sister, Marth Bodin. The family
left Sweden through Gothenburg 17 June 1892 on the vessel Romeo with the
destination of Hull, England. They came from Hassjo parish, Vasternorrland
county, and their final destination was Evansville, Minnesota.

June 9, 1892 is the date the family was written down in the parish as
emigrated. It is very possible that they left before that because it is
a long journey from Vasternorrland to Gothenburg, approximately 1000 km.

The journey to Hull took two days. After docking the emigrants went by
train to the west coast where they boarded the big ocean ships for New York.
As recent as 1888, the fee for a second class ticket was 105 Swedish crownes.
