DISTRICT OF NEW YORK – PORT OF NEW YORK
I, H. Knight, Master of the Ship New World do solemnly, sincerely and truly affirm that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Ship New World at Liverpool from which port said ship has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died. Sworn to me this 9 June 1862, So help me God, before me ?. H. Knight.
List or Manifest of all the Passengers taken on board the Ship New World whereof H. Knight is Master, from Liverpool, burthen 1404 57/95 tons.
Columns represent: given name, surname, age, sex, occupation, country to which they belong, country which they intend to inhabit, accommodation.

Transcribers Notes:         
I believe several given names are contractions used in place of     
writing the full name. For instance No. 13 Christ with n above the line for     
Christian, No. 18 and 19 Michl for Michael, No. 20 Patk for Patrick, No. 25     
there is a small raised letter following Marg, No. 30 there is a small raised     
letter, probably an r following Cath, probably Catherine.

Occupation on Lines 21 through 28 are abbreviations for servant and laborer.     
However, laborer is written in full on Line 1 and servant is written in full 
on line 31. There is no entry in Occupation for Lines 2 through 11.
