Brig Margaret

Buenos Ayres to New York
2 March 1820

DISTRICT OF NEW YORK – PORT OF NEW YORK
I, Andrew Hussey, do solemnly, sincerely and truly Swear that the following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New-York, contains to the best of my knowledge and belief a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Brig Margareth, whereof I am master from Buenos Ayres. So help me God. (signed) Andrew Hussey. Sworn to, the 2d March 1820 before me (signed) Jno Kearney DC.
List or Manifest of all the Passsengers* taken on board the Brig Margarett from Buenos Ayres whereof Andrew Hussey is master from Buenos Ayres burthen one hundred & seventy one 71/95 tons.
Columns represent: name, age (years/months), occupation, country to which they severally belong, country which they intend to become inhabitants.

1 John Ward 26 Merchant America
2 Edmund Dirlws 22 Merchant America
3 John Murley 26 Merchant England

     (Signed) Andrew Hussey

     Transcriber's Notes:

The name of the Brig appeared to be spelled several different ways on
the manifest. The spellings above reflect the manifest.

Columns 'sex' and 'died on the voyage' were omitted because there
     were no entries.

In the column 'age (month)', a symbol was written for each passenger
that appears to be a ditto symbol.

Passsengers* - this is how it appears, typed on the manifest.

Passenger numbers added to aid with referencing.

National Archives and Records Administration, Film M237, Reel 1, List 49.
