Correspondence: (3/29/99) passenger HEMLEBEN
The Hemleben's had a daughter who married into a
family named Roggensack, which was my grandmother's family. The Hemlebens
settled in Wisconsin first; their daughter, my great, great grandmother Anna
Hemleben Roggensack was born in Manitowoc, but moved to Dubuque, Iowa when
she was quite young. My paternal relatives all have roots in Iowa, but my
part of the family, who are Kreimans, have lived in Chicago since the 1920s.
Fritz Rudolph, another passenger, is also related. If you are connected to
these families please email me Cheryl Kreiman
Correspondence 05/31/01 passenger STOLL
I finally found my ancestor, JOHN STOLL, on this passenger list. Under
the STEERAGE PASSENGERS, he is # 36. You have him as:
Johann ???ll 29 M Farmer ?rudenrof New York
I have his original ship passenger list written (in German) which
states the ships name as Jason and the date of 25 Aug 1848. Everything
matches the info I have on him. I just thought you might like to add
his full last name in case other people would be searching and not able
to locate him without the last name spelled out. I would love to hear
from anyone regarding the Stolls. They migrated to Michigan. John's
daughter, Carrie, married William Fuller. She died giving birth to my
grandfather, Raymond Fuller in 1881. Judy Tobias
