Transcriber's Notes:

Another transcription of this voyage has been prepared by looking at
records in the Danish Emigration Archives. It offers different information,
on Danish passengers only,
than this actual manifest. - The Archives

Correspondence 3//28/01 passenger #28 Petersen
I have located my Great Grandfather's name on this passenger list.
He is passenger no. 28, Lars Petersen. Still researching his early
travels upon arrival. There is some evidence he may have gone to
Chicago very shortly after arrival, but returned to Boston after a
year or two. He married Elsina Bruns (also from Denmark) in Boston
on 12/24/1894 and their first child, my Grandfather Henry Andrew
Petersen was born there in February of 1896. They had three more
children, Elsie, Marie and Christine and after the birth of the second
child moved to South Portland, Maine. Lars was a carpenter there
and also worked as a milkman. I do not have his exact date of death
at present, but it was sometime in the early 1940's in Portland.
