Correspondence 10/3/00 My name is Arnaldo Borsa and I am Italian. I was searching the Internet to know if someone of my ancestor's relative was emigrated to USA, because I found some Borsa living in USA in these days and I wanted to know if there is a possibility we have the same ancestors. I found the site with your transcription for The Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild about Italian Bark Guglulmo Carlo Stanford. I think I can be useful for some particulars; first of all, the correct name of the ship is "Guglielmo Carlo Stanford". Port of departure is correct as written: Castellammare ("Castle-by-the-sea" it means in English). Passenger Francisco Massa should be Francesco Massa. Also the master of the ship has a wrong name: Meichele. In Italian the correct spelling is Michele. I hope to have been of some help for you and for the people who search their ancestors on those records. Best wishes, Arnaldo Borsa.
