LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. Gaelic, sailing from Yokohama, May 19th, 1893 arriving at Port of San Francisco, June 6th, 1893.

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
Passenger numbers have been added for ease in referencing.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were not included in
 the table:

    Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco
    By whom was passage paid?=himself   
    Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
    Whether a Polygamist=no
    Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
    Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
    Whether having any deformities=no 
Missing or illegible letters are replaced with ?.
Some entries are too long to fit comfortably in the table, identified by *.

 2 Heller     has been to Philadelphia, New York & San Francisco.
 3 Cochian    The "t" in Robt is written above the line.
              Psgr has $25.  The two zeros are written above with a line under 
              them, as one would write for cents.
 4 Yeizahim   The missing letter/s are "m" or "ni."
 6 Tanaka     The missing letter in the first name is "n" or "u."
              Psgr is bound to New York enroute to France.
 7 Seto       The missing letter in the first name is "u" or "n."
 8 Nishimoto  The brother's name and address are Y. Nishimoto 
              529 3/4 Geary St. SF
 9 Kawasaki   The uncle's name and address are Shisno Kamiro 
              524 Geary St. SF
11 Hirakubo   has been in San Francisco 3 times prior to this trip.
14 Nomura     has been to Oakland, 609 Madison St,  once prior to this trip.
17 Matsurmura The missing letter is "a' or "o."
18 Adachi     is bound to New York enroute to London.
19-20 Nakaha/Koga en route to Canada is written between the 2 entries 
              "San Francisco" for these two.  It is impossible to decide 
              which of them was en route.
22 Nishimura  The brother's name and address are T Nishimura business 
              college Market St SF.
23 Suzuki     The father's name and address are S Suzuki Columbian Exhibiter 
              Office
This ship has separate pages of Chinese passengers but due to the quality
of the microfilm they are unable to be transcribed.
