Correspondence 10/05/2004 passenger #802, 805-809 Sommer
#802 Margaret Sommer and her children #805-809 were headed for Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania. Her husband Lawrence Sommer (b 1837) had gone ahead of them.
A sixth child, Mary, was born in PA in 1883. By 1900 they were all living at
12 Pius Street, across from St Michael Church. Many of the other Bavarians
on this ship were probably also bound for Pittsburgh.

Lawrence Sommer was probably closely related to two other families that
arrived in NYC on the SS Mosel on 21 Nov 1881 and moved on the Pittsburgh.
They were John and Margaret (Boehnlein) Sommer and Carl and Anna (Sommer)
