DISTRICT OF BOSTON AND CHARLESTOWN – PORT OF BOSTON
I, ?. H. Small*, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear, that the within REPORT and LIST, subscribed with my name and now delivered by me to the Collector of the district of BOSTON AND CHARLESTOWN, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, the names, age, sex and occupation of all the passengers, together with the name of the country to which they severally belong, and that of which they intend to become inhabitants, which were on board the Brig Cambridge whereof I am at present master, at the time of her sailing from the port of Liverpool or which have at any time since been taken on board the said vessel. And I do likewise swear, that all matters whatsoever in said report and list expressed, are, to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true. SO HELP ME GOD. REPORT AND LIST of the passengers taken on board the bg Cambridge of Boston whereof Small is master, burthen ?15* tons and 39/95ths of a ton, bound from the port of Liverpool for Boston.

* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not
  the transcriber, or is used to call your attention to additional information
  in the transcriber's notes.

? Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the
  condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.

  Passenger numbers have been added for ease in referencing.
    
* The captain's first initial could have been J or L.
* Ship's burthen could have been 215 or 915 tons.

 2  Wm. Hughes: his origin did not seem to be England or Ireland or Scotland, 
    though seemed to start with I.  Looks somewhat like Irinland.
 3  Robert Hind: for his origin, second letter could be a or e or o; 
    third letter is possibly x.  The o after b seemed to have an umlaut 
    over it, but could be marks on the paper.
 4  Robert White ?: surname looked like White Liah, two separate sections.  
    His age was 27 or 29.
 5  John Ha?land: either n or r or v in question. 
 5-6  Passengers Ha?land and Alston: for their origin, second letter 
    is e or i; letters 3 and 4 possibly dd.
11  Christopher Co?te: letter in question could be o or r or s.
12  Henry Lo??e: possibly Loide or Lorbe or Lorde.
13  Robert Beattie: age was 41 or 61.
17  Madecai Coalha?z: possibly i or r in question
18  Thomas Duckw?th: probably a or u in question.  
    His origin: letter could be l or t, did not seem to be s.
