Liverpool, England to Boston, Massachusetts
21 August 1826

DISTRICT OF BOSTON AND CHARLESTOWN - PORT OF BOSTON
I, Samuel Pray, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear, that the within REPORT and LIST, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the District of BOSTON and CHARLESTOWN, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, the names, age, sex, and occupation of all the passengers, together with the name of the country to which they severally belong, and that of which they intend to become inhabitants, which were on board the Ship America, whereof I am at present Master, at the time of her sailing from the port of Liverpool or which have at any time since been taken on board said vessel. And I do likewise swear, that all matters whatsoever, in said Report and List expressed, are, to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true. SO HELP ME GOD. REPORT AND LIST of the passengers taken on board the Ship America of Portsmouth whereof Pray is master, burthen 346 tons and 3/95ths of a ton, bound from the port of Liverpool for Boston.
Columns represent: name, age, sex, occupation, country to which they belong, country to which they intend to become inhabitants.

Transcriber's Notes:     
#3-8 The Livsay children: none of their ages was given individually.  
   By the names of Martha and Gyinie was written 13 & 10; it was not really 
   clear which age each of them was.  Then a squiggly line was drawn down 
   through the column for the rest of the children's ages. 
#9 John Hughes: in the last column for his line, letters in question 
   do not extend above or below the line.
