DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I,D. Williams, Master of the STM Alps, do solemnly, sincerely and truly that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said STM at Colon from which port said STM has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age and sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage and the names and ages of those who died.

Transcriber's Notes:

? The ? indicates the word or letter could not be read, due to quality of    
  original document    

The name of the ship was not clear, but looks like STM which probably    
stands for Steamship or Steamer    
First line of description, sincerely and truly then a blank and    
continues that the following list etc.    
In the sworn statement, cannot read name other than the R at the    
beginning    
There were no births or deaths on this passage, therefore the    
birth/death column has been eliminated

Passengers 3 through 17 did not have a location where they stayed on the    
vessel during the voyage    

  6, 7, 10, 12 and 13, Occupation not noted    
 11, could be a W or an N  at the beginning of the name    
 12, unable to read the first letter of the name    
 13, could be Rice de Stephanie Gonzaga    
 14, country to which he was to become an inhabitant was crossed off    
 15, last few letters run together, probably is Contractor    
National Archives and Records Administration, Film M237, Reel 415.
