whereof H. Eldridge, Jr. is Master, Burthen 51 tons and /95ths* of a ton, bound from the Port of Halifax. MV. for Boston. The Brig. Acadian arrived at Boston on 05 September 1846*.

* indicates an error made by the original recorder or is used to call your
  attention to additional information in the transcriber's notes.
? indicates letters that could not be read, due to quality of original document. 

 The Burthen fraction is not clear; there is a "squiggly" line above the fraction line.
 The date in the statement has been added by the transcriber to aid the researcher.
   It was not on the original manifest.
 The passengers were not numbered on the manifest, but added by the formatter to
   aid the researcher.

 6,7   No occupation listed for these passenger.
 8     Suthuland could also be deciphered as Sutherland.
12     The writing for this name is difficult to decipher.  The two l's are followed
       by what appears to be a "u" and an "m" but it is not clear.
13     Gardner appears as on the manifest.
14-18  No occupation listed for these passenger.
